Discover Vietnam’s mountains from Hanoi on two wheels, where the motorcycle tour is not just an adventure but a lifelong experience.

What do we need in 2026?

It’s none other than a motorbike tour of Vietnam.

A true exploratory journey, starting from Hanoi and traversing Northern Vietnam on rented motorbikes, awaits you. The adventure includes countless sites to discover, a boat trip among the islands of Ha Long Bay and Ninh Binh.

Throughout the tour, we’ll indulge in local cuisine, but the primary goal is to enjoy riding through Vietnam’s mountains, conquering both famous and lesser-known passes.

Joining us in Vietnam willbe a local motorcyclist, Ngo Ba Touc, who will be available to assist us throughout the entire tour.

A support vehicle will accompany the motorcycle tour, so we can transport our luggage without having to carry it on the motorcycle. Excursions in the Ha Long bay will cost an additional €90 per person for 1 days.

The tour duration is 17 days, including travel. This includes 2 days for travel to Vietnam, 1 day for sightseeing in Hanoi, followed by 10 days of motorcycling. The Ha Long Bay tours will take 1 days, 1 day tour to Ninh Binh and the return trip will take 2 days.

Motorcycle type: Honda CB 500 X, which is well-suited for long distances, allowing us to navigate Vietnam’s spacious yet occasionally crowded roads.

The motorcycles come with helmets, phone holders (which we will also bring), cargo nets for securing your bags, and one top box. If there is no support vehicle, you will need to bring a dry bag. Clothing, boots, and other accessories must be brought by you.

The price of the motorcycle tour includes a flight ticket up to €1000. If the ticket costs more than €1000, you will need to pay the difference. If the ticket costs less than €1000, we will refund the remaining amount. We will try to find the nearest airport based on your location for the flight departure. For example, if you live in Warrington ( UK ), we will purchase a ticket for you from Manchester or If you live in the United States or Germany, that’s no problem either.  After booking, we will send you the reservation number. We do this to ensure that our motorcyclists arrive at consistent times. If you wish to arrive a few days earlier or return later, that’s no problem. Just let us know, and we can discuss the arrangements.

If you prefer to purchase the flight ticket yourself, that’s fine as well. You can buy the ticket, and we will coordinate the exact arrival and departure dates with you. Naturally, in this case, you will pay €1000 less than the listed prices.

After your application, we will get in touch with you to discuss the details.

Travel to Vietnam: We will be waiting for you at the airport and will take you to your accommodation. If you still have enough energy, we can head to explore the city of Hanoi.

After we have rested and adjusted to the time difference, we will have our breakfast. The bus will be waiting for us in front of the hotel between 8:00 and 8:30. From there, we will travel to the picturesque Ha Long Bay, where we will board a boat and cruise among the stunning islands. A pleasant lunch will be served on board while we admire the breathtaking scenery. At the end of the program, we are expected to return to our accommodation around 9:00 PM.

Our excursion to Ninh Binh promises an unforgettable day in one of Vietnam’s most stunning regions. After breakfast, we will head towards this picturesque province, often referred to as the “dry Ha Long Bay of Vietnam.” Upon arrival, we will explore the breathtaking Tam Coc area, where we’ll board a boat and paddle along a river surrounded by limestone mountains and rice fields. The route, winding through caves and rocky formations, offers truly spectacular views.

During the trip, we’ll enjoy a delicious Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we’ll continue discovering more natural wonders before returning to our accommodation by comfortable bus in the evening. This day is a perfect opportunity to immerse ourselves in Vietnam’s enchanting landscapes and cultural heritage.

Vietnam’s mountainous regions, winding roads, and rich cultural heritage offer an exciting and memorable experience. Throughout the journey, we’ll pass through diverse landscapes, where rice fields, steep cliffs, and rivers alternate in breathtaking harmony. In addition to the beauty of the countryside, we’ll also gain insight into the daily lives of the locals.

One of our stops will be the city of Viet Tri, where we’ll visit the Khu Di Tích Đền Hùng temple complex. Situated atop a hill, the site is reached by climbing a long staircase. Its historical significance and tranquil surroundings provide a great opportunity to learn more about Vietnam’s traditions and past.

Continuing on, we’ll travel through scenic mountain passes, including the famous Khau Pha Pass and O Quy Ho Pass. These routes, with their steep switchbacks and elevated viewpoints, offer a unique and thrilling experience for every traveler. Along the way, we’ll approach Fansipan, the highest peak in Southeast Asia, which—on clear days—offers far-reaching panoramic views.

One of the most unforgettable sections of the tour is the Ma Pi Leng Pass, considered one of Vietnam’s most challenging and spectacular mountain roads. The tight curves and deep gorges promise an exhilarating journey for every motorbike enthusiast.

Later, we’ll arrive at the majestic Thác Bản Giốc waterfall, located near the Chinese border. This impressive cascade showcases the raw power and beauty of nature as water thunders down between limestone cliffs.

In the final stretch of our trip, a peaceful boat ride awaits us on Ba Be Lake, where we’ll take in the surrounding mountains and serene natural scenery from the water. From here, we’ll head back toward Hanoi, where we’ll return our motorbikes and have one last chance to soak up the city’s vibrant atmosphere.

On this day, we have the opportunity to take a short sightseeing tour around the charming streets of Hanoi, where we can admire the city’s historical buildings, atmospheric temples, and vibrant daily life. For those who prefer shopping, the famous local bazaars await, offering colorful handicrafts, local delicacies, and unique souvenirs. It’s also a great chance to spend any remaining Vietnamese currency while immersing ourselves one last time in the city’s lively atmosphere. To end the day, we can relax over a delicious Vietnamese meal and reflect on the most memorable moments of our journey.

Goodbye, Vietnam

The time has come to say farewell to the enchanting landscapes of Vietnam. During our stay, we’ve gathered countless experiences and memories, from vibrant cities to serene delta vistas. As we board our flight, we’ll forever cherish the memories of local culture, flavors, and friendships. Thank you for joining us on this thrilling journey. Farewell, Vietnam, and we hope to see you again soon!

Some Information for Budgeting:

Flight Ticket: After paying the deposit for participation, we will arrange the flight ticket purchase. If the flight costs exceed €1000, you will need to cover the difference between €1000 and the ticket price. This could range from a few euros to 200-400€. If the ticket is less than €1000, we will refund the remaining amount. We will inform you of this after your registration but before the deposit payment. You can also purchase the flight ticket individually; in this case, we will coordinate details with you after registration.

Motorcycle Rental: A deposit is not required for motorcycle rentals, but if you wish to rent a motorcycle individually, a €1500 deposit is needed. We offer Honda CB 500 X motorcycles, which are suitable for Vietnamese roads. Since we are not renting in a European country, the motorcycles may have some shortcomings, but they are safe to ride.

Transportation: At first glance, the traffic may seem chaotic and intimidating, but it becomes manageable after a day or two. There are no significant traffic jams, and drivers generally move continuously without speeding. Honking and flashing lights mean “I’m coming,” but drivers may not always make room and might even push through oncoming traffic. Traffic in the mountains is lighter compared to larger cities.

Cleanliness and Hygiene: This is a sensitive topic. The level of hygiene is quite different from European standards.  Accommodations were generally clean, with a few minor shortcomings.

Excursions: In some cities, there are options to book additional excursions. These can be arranged on-site, and we will discuss prices and options with everyone.

Currency: The currency in Vietnam is the Vietnamese Dong. It’s advisable to bring Euros or US Dollars, which can be exchanged in many places, approximately 25,000-26,500 Dong per Euro.

Cancellation Policy and Process:

Payment Deadline: Within 14 days from the day of registration, you must pay 50% of the tour price, which is non-refundable in case of cancellation. The remaining 50% should be paid by the registration deadline. (If you register early, the deposit is only required when we notify you, so your money is not held unnecessarily. If the tour does not meet the required number of participants and is canceled, the paid amount will be refunded, or you won’t need to pay.) If you purchase your flight ticket yourself, only 20% of the tour price needs to be paid, which is non-refundable in case of cancellation.

If you cancel after the registration deadline, the full amount will be charged, and no refunds will be made.

If the tour price is not received by the payment deadlines, we will automatically cancel your participation in the tour.
